National Competitions

The Lawn Tennis Association holds a series of regional competitions throughout the UK every year, giving individuals who want to compete the perfect opportunity to do so.

At the end of each season the National Finals are held where National Champions are crowned. The 2020 finals are being held in Wrexham for the second consecutive year.

Players from the North East Visually Impaired Tennis Club regularly enter these regional tournaments and travel together for a number of organised club trips every season.

Of course, being biased, the Newcastle regional tournament held in May, is the 'must go to' event of the year, where the fun on the court is backed up by the fun off the court, with the Saturday night party becoming legendary!

The David Russell Club Championships takes place in September every year and is open to all North East Visually Impaired Tennis Club players.
